| Description: This was a real problem one as the people live at the bottom of a hill and all the water came into their living room one day. So I removed part of the deck, brought in an architect to check to make sure what I was going to do was correct (I was going to dig a trench at the back of the house and put in a weeping tile and then direct the water to both sides of the house, so it could not accumulate at the side door). The architect told me is was good and I continued with the work. Even though I know, I still consult just to be sure. Who knows, maybe I will learn something new. Then I had to put back the deck building around the old parts I did not take out. I went back 15 years later and asked the customer if it ever leaked of if he ever had a problem with what I built for him and he said no. He is very happy. | |
