Eighteen Years and Still Level
A very
picky customer called me because he had
visions of the perfect flower-box. He
wanted me to build him a very simple box
but I told he that we had to build it on
crushed stone. He was reluctant to do it
properly but I insisted that if he
wanted a quality job, we had to do it. I
went to his house a few weeks ago just
to see how those flower-boxes were
holding up and now you see the result.
Anybody can build anything but it is
only after ten years you see what you
paid for. |
Architect
This client could not sit outside and enjoy his
garden after a neighbour installed a noisy air
conditioner. I did some research and then, with
the neighbour's permission, built a sound
proof booth for the air conditioner. It works a
like a barrier on the 401!
TOP THAT HOLMES!!!
This customer loved
the online booking system because she owns
a rental property in Toronto and was able to
book appointments with many of the
independent tradesmen, from her home in
England. All the work that she needed done
by all the tradesmen she had booked was
completed in 6 days! How's that for
efficient!! |

Shed Organization
This
shed was too small and couldn't even
hold a bicycle. I fixed it up so that
they could fit two bikes and organize a
whole bunch of other things. |
|
Forest Hill
This customer hired me to do a bunch of
little things in her house and then kept
running around trying to find more
things that needed to be done. She was
very happy with my work. |

Sometimes Serious
I repaired a 200 year old cabinet for
this client in Scarborough. The hinges
had come apart and it could not be
repaired using the same screws,
so I used some slightly larger screws,
adjusted the cabinet door and the doors
worked perfectly

We saved the deck
This customer lived at St Clair and Young St. She had a rotten deck and
thought the whole thing would need to be replaced, but instead we cut off
all the rotten wood and made a new deck out of the old deck. The customer
was very pleased with the results.

My new best friend
This customer would only hire me
when her husband went out of town
because she got tired of asking him
over and over again to fix things
and he never did. She just gave
up. She booked me online and I took
care of everything that needed
fixing. Her kids helped out and even
went out as Les the Handyman for
Halloween.
Here are the two helpers.

Dr.
Mitler
This man was a customer for 22
years. He once gave me a clock
that no one else had been able
to repair. It worked on a
magnetic principle. Somehow I
got it working again, and it
kept perfect time for another
eleven years.

Robert
Wanted
to work together with me in hopes of
learning something. WE had to jack
up his garage, put new material
along the base of it and set it back
onto a trench of crushed stone. I
told him it would settle a bit but
we made a very cool place within his
garage where he could jack it up
himself and make whatever
adjustments he needs to. He was
very, very happy. |

The
Prime Minister
I worked
for these people seven years ago and
they were very happy and couldn't find
my phone number (God, how is that
possible). They hired someone else who
made quite a lot of mistakes. Finally,
they had found my number and I fixed all
his mistakes. Now I have over twenty
video referrals from these two for
different projects around their house.
|
|
Are you a door-knob?
These are
regular customers of mine and after they
hired some other trades people, because
they couldn't find my number, I ended up
fixed a ton of stuff for them.
I've seen
some amazing things that trades people
have done in some houses but this one
was lots of fun to figure out.

A basement storage
area they wanted me
to design for them in the end, it needed
to be primed and painted twice and they
wanted me to add a place where their
kids could change their shoes, store
their toys and make a coat rack.
Even I was amazed when I finished it.
Patric At Johnson Trading
company
I fix other
peoples mistakes. Holmes
was not the first one doing this.
I have been doing it for 18 years before
that show was ever on television.
Les
the Handyman in New York

A Good
Laugh
He was very
happy that I kept him entertain the
whole time I was doing his list. He had
twenty-two items on his list and I was
able to fix twenty of them. |

Less Stress and Mess When You Hire Les
I was a
little shocked when I heard that one of
their kids wanted to dress up as Les the
Handyman for Halloween. So far I have
eleven kids and seven adults as Les the
Handyman. I've never heard of such of
this in my life but it's nice to be
admired and appreciated. |
|
Les do it!
This is
one of my funniest customers and
though I've done many things at his
house, I am flattered that I get
asked over for dinner after I finish
the work.
When a customer could not get into
her house.
before
after
It really wasn't that complicated.
The weather stripping got bent and
it was interfering with the door. I
fixed it and the door worked fine
after that. |

Even the Cashman Needs a
Handyman
Oliver the Cashman called me one
day. At first I thought it was a
joke but it turns out that he
really needed a handyman. And
though it wasn't a very big job,
he was very happy that he was
being taken care of.
Unfortunately the reference was
cut off, but at least he's
pointing to my Les the Handyman
fliers. |
I
will fix doors too and this
customer has been with me for about 12
years. Bonnie. Thank you for
your business.

Skating Rink
Doug is one funny guy.
He usually can do most
things himself. He lives
right across the street
from me and he is quite
capable. But building a
skating rink is quite an
undertaking especially
when it spans two
backyards.
When you are in a pickle?
This customer is a Realtor,
and when he need little
things fix I come and take
care of it. Most
people love the on-line
booking system too which
eliminates telephone tag.
I am on time, and
knowledgeable
Rebuilt a gate which did not
need replacing.
Customers call me all the
time and think some
things are really
complicated, but most times
they are not. I always try
to repair something if
I think it can be repaired.
This customers had a
list and now there is no
list.
We need a custom simple
shelf
unit to put all the kids
toys on and we needed to add
something to it during
the build. Les never
got upset with us, he always
smiled and did what we asked
him to do. so with
left over wood, Les modified
the shelve unit to
allow for the TV to use used
in the same corner.
Thanks Les.
We have a gate at
the back of our house and we
would like the door to swing
the other way. Part of
it fell apart and a
contractor said we need a
new gate. I was
able to fix it and reverse
the way it opened.
Sometimes it
is better to wait until the
guy leaves the house so that
the smart woman can hire to
pro to do the work.

Letters of reference.
These are come of the
interesting ones.
